My mate has been going on  (and on...and on) about the chain wax he uses.
I know.. Not another chain lube post..

His rear wheel is annoyingly clean all the time...
So I was in Halfords the other day and noticed they sell the stuff he uses..
I have never heard of it before but i thought what the hell I will give it a go..
Its called "Banana Slip Chain Wax".. They do a chain lube as well but I recommend the wax.
It smells like you could eat it!!
I cleaned my chain (I dont do it that often) and let it dry then applied a generous coat of the wax.

Just been out for a ride (including 20 miles of motorway) and not a spec on my wheel !!
I literally mean not a spec !!
This is even better than the thick Castrol W140 gear oil I was using.

I think most ptfe based wax lubricants will be similar... I'm still using Wurth ... no fling from that either.  Now... if someone could tell me how to keep brake dust off my rear wheel I be a lot happier
