sheepskins rule, mine is over 30 yrs old, still works perfectly. rear for mrs is few yrs only. warm, cool, no sliding. when you camp, a great pillow. give it a scotchguard spray, water just rolls off. best invention ever. maybe not but up there.

Worth every penny for a more comfortable bum on long rides  :onya:

Swingarm get a primer coat.
What do you think - what paint is better as a main coat - wheel or engine?

Red Biker

I'm sure one of the paint experts will be along to advise Northern, what colour are you doing?
Many a Donkey has lost its hoof on the rocky road, don't be that Donkey!

You know, Red...
It's hard to admit, but after some thinking, I decide to paint swingarm black...

First, I want to do it white... But white swingarm is only for show bikes. And mine will not be a showroom bike
Then I was thinking about gold... But just for a fraction of a second

as a result - it will be BLACK  :hat:

Toolbox sounds interesting but probably too expensive for me to consider.

Not quite bike related as it's not moved since going to Scotland at the beginning of feb but I took my leathers in to get fixed today. I fixed seams falling apart would get annoying over the summer when it arrives.

Now I have a replacement swing arm thats Black (Thanks again Del) I would say Black is the way to go.

Red Biker

So much love for Black on here  :boogie2:, the swing arm was how I started so take note  :whistling:

Wise choice Northern :hat:

Paint still wet, but no turning back :)
year ago, it was slightly different...

Hi Northern..
I think you've done the right thing..
Also the black paint covers up that awful crack nicely !!!

:stir:

Red Biker

Yeah looking good Northern 👍

I sometimes look back at old pictures and I'm very happy with how mines turned out. No reflection on others but I really don't like the oem alloy on alloy at the chain adjusters, sends a shiver down my spine 😩

As we always focus on the parts we love, Be interested to hear others least favourite part of their bike?

Thx, mates! I like polished look, but cleaning it is pain in the... So I went the easy way :)
But tank and rear end will stay white :)

I personally hate when front wheels get dirty - because of brake disks it's very hard to clean them  :furious:
