Ok update .
Hel got bike in checked my measurements and have now redesigned the mounting brackets .
I received my replacements on friday and fitted them tonight .
They fit perfectly now and the edge of the pads is level with the top of the disc.
They have the names of several people who have the old design brackets and are going to send them replacements (free of charge) .
They said the original brackets show never have been sold for the gsx1400 so if anyone has them to get in touch with hel directly.

I've had Hel braided lines for 10 years & they show no signs of wear & tear plus the colour is still bright.
