Yes ARH
2 early Z900, 72 CB350/4, 76 CB400/4, 81 1100 Katana. I ride about four times a year with these guys as they live about 225klms north of me, but we usually manage about 300 to 600 k's per day depending on roads we use. My plan was to bring this little bloke to fit in with the Honda's but I didn't get my brakes repaired in time.

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Probably why Irish wanted to do the brakes then Col.

Love riding that little bike, believe me there is NO engine braking.

The MRS has a brake setup that looks like that on her GN250. When I haven't ridden it for a while, I forget the breaks are . . . shall we say 'lacking' in any stopping power compared with the 14, which is nothing startling anyways.
Those early discs definitely left room for improvement, but much better than the wee drums.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about my 14's brakes.
It's the same age as my B-King, and the Kings full radial set up master and callipers are brilliant, they really do show how dated the 14's (and Gen-1 Busa) are..... then I remember my time spent on SOHC CB750, early Z1000, GSX1100 Katana and Harley Sportster etc, and the 14's 6-plops don't seem so bad again...

.....

The 14s brakes are not bad, but could be better (can't everything be better!?) I hope that with braided lines, EBC HH pads, and a rebuild of the master cylinder, mine will do much better. The calipers and discs are still quite good, will be rebuild/replaced when money is more plenty.

The rear was a mess! Got new disc (ABM Peak), braided line, rebuild calipers, rebuild master cylinder, EBC HH pads.
