I rode to a mate's house & carried on sorting his Reliant rat trike thing for him, I did the same yesterday too.

This weekend it's had the tappets done, compression test (155-160psi each pot) carb tuned, new plugs, fan rewired, temporary expansion bottle fitted & a few other bits. Seems to run a lot better now, no surprise really as it works best with the mixture nut 14 1/2 flats down and it was set to about 22 flats before!

Today we rode the length of Belgium to find out that our ferry is still in hull. Doh
It will cause a bit of hassle but nothing we can do so a day at the seaside tomorrow for us .

Today I got an injection of steroids into my dodgy elbow. It hurt a lot.

"Don't worry", they said, "after a few minutes the local anaesthetic that's mixed in will help numb the pain".

It didn't.

"Give it a few hours", they said, "and the pain will be much less."

No, no it's much worse.  :furious:

@VladTepes  Sounds like you have a cortisone flare. May be a couple days before it goes away. Try an ice pack on and off. That should help quickly. If not see a doc.

VladTepes

Yeah I think it was cortisone they pumped in. I'll see how it goes mate, ta.

They wanted to put that stuff into my buggered shoulder, said it's your 'bursa' playing up & wanted to inject it!  No way, it wasn't & still isn't my 'bursa' it's a detached collar bone & stabbing me with that stuff would do nothing.
I know it's a detached collar bone because I can move it around by grabbing the bit lower down & watch the end that's poking up under the skin move. definitely bone moving, not a bursa which is deeper in the joint.

They think that stuff is a cure all, when in fact I hear lots of stories just like Mikes, makes it worse.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎
