Did Irish leave a 14 in Aus when he left? Might need a wee run to keep it running good? :imrgreen:

Col there are a few blokes on here that own more than a single bike - I'm sure someone may be able to assist & it doesn't matter what you ride :onya:
Sounds good.

Hope you have a spare one Chris, last year some didn't even want to go "dinky", I gave my loved GSX1400 to a bloke I never met before and rode an inferior FJR1300.
Mrs :worshippy: wants to do a cruise next year, so looks like MCR11 is out - :whatever:
Col...just tell her indoors that MCR11 is a cruise.... :whistling:
Well it's not a race so therefore it must be a cruise !
Trouble is - she wants to be on the cruise too, balcony suite & booze package. Now if a bloke was clever (and had the coin) he could do both, there's another thought.
I shall see how things pan out early next year, it'd be a blast to come over & meet up with some more of you guys and do the ride.
Details now on this threads first post
Seems my mrs wants to join if she keeps health
So it is posibly me and the mrs then too.

Nice one johnnie. My mrs will have someone to yak to.
Think l will bounce the idea of us attending off management. Be great to meet you blokes in person...............if you don't hear from me again, it didn't go well !!
😂😂
That'd be cool Col, both of us going over for a wee look in on the Aussie MCR.
Hmm, that's a lot further away than I thought it was.
I hope there are going to be some folk from Brisbane taking a couple of days down and a couple back.
I'm not doing 14 hour days for anyone.

That's not far, look at the distance I have to travel.

That's the reason why Rogues for many years pushed for Bathurst. Not my favourite venue because it's close to home but perfect for Mexicans & banana benders because it's central to all. Tell me if I'm wrong, but my idea of MCR's is a social get together of like minded people to talk shit, compare bikes and for some, a Saturday ride. The fact that it's central to people from the eastern states affords more chance of better attendance so for that reason alone I'll get on Rogues band wagon and suggest Bathurst for all future MCR's.
Vlad.
It is only an 18 hour ride, 1700 klm down the Newell hwy from home!!
Maybe 3 days🤔. 4 if you include Thunderbolt , Putty, Bell's Line etc
Yes. As Snapey and Rogues have mentioned,
perhaps a more central location will result in a
bigger turnout.
My 2 cents worth
My opinion is definitely after the next one - is only fair that the boys that had to ride 2 pretty full on days this year get an easier ride to the next one as it was for us this year.
Vlad - it will be at least 2 days and 2 days back as has been done previously.
I'll be leaving on wednesday for a friday arvo arrival. Leaving sunday getting home tuesday. No problem. As for Bathurst, definitely next year for me. When we had it at bathurst the last few years we only got 4 one year and 6 the next. Thats why it was suggested to look for different venues as some complained they were over Bathurst every year.
I agree, Jindabyne 2019, say Bathurst 2020, and then decide after that.... :)

@Bov et al
Given any consideration to the route?
This is what someone else who's done the run mentioned to me:
Quote from: Thomas
I just got back from Jindabyne two weeks ago. Took me three days from Brissie to Jindy, First stop was Amidale, Second day was Lithgow then into Jindy. Spent three days on the way back as well but took the inland route home.
They're big days though if you're doing it all back to back, especially if you take the good (fun) roads. Personally I'd recommend sticking to about 400 km a day and spend a bit more time looking around. I was doing about 5-600 km a day on the way down.
Also, if you come in via the Snowy Mountain Highway (and you'd be mad not too, it's fantastic) there's a little shortcut from Adaminaby that's worth taking that I missed the first time I went through.
The usual I guess down thru Armidale to Bendemeer
Day 2 muswellbrook to bathurst or Cowra
Day 3 via tumut snowy mountains to jindy
Be around 500 per day
Talking to Boothy today & we've decided to go to Jindabyne but was wondering if anyone from Sydney, Wollongong or further south would like to join us for the ride down. With my sleep problems it won't be the usual epic ride but it won't be main road either.
Sweaty & Taniwha have PM's.
Now you have thrown a spanner in the works Pete. Because now I really want to go, but am away the week & weekend before in Hong Kong for work (if all the protesting stops) and away on 2 different country trips in November as well.
I think that asking for the Friday off will piss my boss off (but who cares) and telling my other Boss ;) that I am going away for another 3 days won't go down well (but she might actually be happy about it)
Let me try and sort out my trips to fit in having the Friday off & I will run it pass the work Boss. Then I will TELL the other Boss what's happening ;)
Just 3 months out from this event now . We're still holding onto 10 rooms so if you haven't booked please do so soon.
Cheers
Would love to be there Bov, but at this stage am headed to the Macau GP that weekend.
If things change with the protests and all I'll be in it for sure!
I jumped the gun with yesterday's post as it looks like both Dale and me can't make it.
Whatttt, I've just lost my job today & the missus is packing her bags as I speak Pete

Oh well, least now you'll be able to go to the Macau GP as well . . .
Put me down for a confirmed. The Minister for Finance and Recreation has approved my application for both finance and recreation. 🤣🤣
Sorry to tell you all, I am out.
Reason is that I have been booked on a free holiday to Malaga. :)
My odds of attending are down to around 25% I'm afraid. Some medical stuff may have to take precedence.

Jeff,
You might need visa by then if your out of the EU. Hopefully still warm and balmy in November.
Johno
I don't remember needing a visa even before the EU day's.
Turns out there is a method in my mates madness in free flight and expenses, he wants me to check his villa's electrics and repair the solar hot water system.
Ok so were just over 4 weeks out from this years event. Hope everyone who's planning on attending has booked and ready for what should be a fantastic weekend.
If you need any information look at the first post or message on here.
See you all there.
Regretfully I'm out - a combination of injuries, ,medical issues and finances conspired against me this year. I'm really peeved too because it looks like a beautiful part of the country.
We all expect lots of photos and ride reports ! :onya:
:whatever: Phone numbers for the Motel don't work ...... anyone know if there are there any rooms left? I could well be a starter.

Got an email saying their phones were down:
Hi Chris,
I do apologize, our phones are down at present.
We still have four rooms available under GSX1400 which are not allocated to anyone as yet. These rooms are quad rooms, 1x queen bed and 1x bunk beds. The only other room we have available for this time is one family room.
Justene
Now I just have to find the time ........... and approval from The Mrs.
Had a call from the Hotel this morning, they have asked me to release the 3 remaining rooms so they can sell them. I have agreed to release 2 so if u wanna come get booked in NOW or risk missing out.
Anyone else still thinking about it Book in too before its to late.

Unfortunately I'm out. I neglected to take into account an appointment with a bloke that looks up my arse with a camera every six months. Happens on the 14th. Maybe next year.
I hope he's not just a guy from the pub
Hope he takes the telephoto lens off for ya this time . . .

Did this event actually happen?
No photo's or even text has been seen since it finished. Seems to me it's a matter of what happens on tour stays on tour.
Very little on the facebook site as well Pete, but I did see some pic's of Bombala again another show.
I was wondering the same thing ???
Did it happen boys ??
Yep it happened - 7 bikes - was good...
