I bought new bearings yesterday
O
KOYO ? Bob?
Hopefully decent ones..

Must admit I admire your bravery for rescuing a bike in such bad condition.
Well done you!

Yes Koyo, seller had an or best offer so £30 inc seals & post, happy with that

You know, I'm getting right into it now, the frame is not as bad as it looked at 1st, had the bore scope in for a lookie, seems ok

Also bought a Chinese lock set, at 1/10th the price of a genuine Suzi one, I just can't get the key to turn in the ignition, although I'll give it a WD40 bath for a few weeks

Will14

After years & years of struggling with tight, seized or just awkward to get at nuts & bolts I have invested in a cordless impact wrench

Tested it out tonight on front engine mounts and made the job so much easier, done and dusted in 10 mins, which is about a quarter of the time I spent last night trying with a socket and spanner with no success

I didn't want to spend to much as the amount of use it will get is minimal these days, and although pretty much unbranded I was well impressed with the quality for the money & with a two year guarantee it had to be worth a go

Milts

Bought this today, I've always liked the colour scheme/graphics on the 2000 model gsxr750

And it's been a few years since i've owned one!    and it'll probably remind me why i decided to sell the last one too    :)  :)

Today looked at sledge hammers, required for my on going unbuilding monster, came home, had a look. I already have one. How the memory fades with age, especially when you dont like something. Not looking fwd to using it but i have to. Life goes on.

Anyway, today I ordered a TPS for the XJR off ebay. Having spoke to the specialist near me I know which one of the two it always is & they are £40 delivered rather than an entire throttle body for £1,600 off Jag as they don't sell the sensors separately.

That should cure it dropping into failsafe mode & the throttle being unresponsive every 1/2 a mile or so...
