What does the term "Dinky you" mean?

Hmm you might just be right. Just googled it and got this back:

"verb - transitive. to give someone a ride on the handlebars of one's bicycle. Australian. We gotta get there quick - I'll dinky you."

In the UK, Dinky is slang for "Double Income No Kids Yet" as well as used for something small, probably from the Triang firm who produced Dinky Cars (model cars) for kids to play with back in 60's and 70's.

Never heard it being used for riding on handlebars though..... :whatever:

A Dinky in Oz was always one of the smallest version of tricycle....... usually with a smallish tray at the back, or a good one had a footplate behind the rider..for a passenger to perch....... so you could 'dink'a mate down the street on it...
