Continuing - So what did you do to your bike today...?

Re. LED headlight bulbs.
I've got a pair here that Notty bought from Dave. I was going to fit one, but it seems they are now an MOT fail if I've read the new MOT rules correctly.

I've read that as well Steve and the law changed just after I sold them to Notty (although I wasn't aware of the MOT law change when I sold them, and that wasn't the reason I sold them either).

Assuming it is an MOT fail though, if I still had them, I'd pop the original bulb back in for it's MOT and swap it back after. Or just leave as is and see if they notice, as those bulbs are built so they work with the standard reflectors, hardly any (if any) adjustment to beam angle is required.

As far as I'm aware, so long as the Headlight is adjusted for the correct beam angle they are not illegal on the road.

Given the change in MOT law though if you and Notty are not happy with them, return them to me and I'll refund Geoff incl return postage.

Lol It's him Steve!
He was 16 on Wed and 6"2 size 12 feet. My cousin is 6'7 so he could be in that bracket 
Just means less to spend on mods feeding the big lump!

New chain and sprockets fitted..
Brake calipers all removed and cleaned at the same time.
Has anyone found a simple fix for bush wear in the gear change lever? .Mine has quite a lot of play up and down on the shaft

As it passed 118k last weds & has been running rough at low speed & not feeling quite right in bends I did a few bits to mine today -

Rebuilt the brakes
Cleaned & gapped the plugs - not impressed with iridium as I never had to do that with standard ones
Balanced the throttles
Gave her a bath

Andre & Grog have just recently been doing things to this. I'm sure they've replaced the bush with a metal one, to tighten up the slop that occurs over time.

I took my 14 for a little test run after saturday's work. 382 miles around the Lake District seemed enough Did ever pass up there & saw some hero on the Hardknott Pass riding a C90!

Oh & on the way back I caught a new McClaren who wanted to play. with rolling starts around 30-40mph I can prove my 14 is slightly faster to 100  he'd get away after that, but we tested it 7 or 8 times till he turned off.
