Verdict on the 4-pot calipers?

Hard to be scientific about it as I also replaced rotors and pads but I think the braking has improved over the stock setup.

At the very least a 4-pot is cheaper to rebuild than the Tokico 6 pot calipers and in my view less likely to have the stuck piston issues....

For future reference:  Suitable direct changeover 4-pots are 01 - 03 GSX-R600 or 00 - 03 GSX-R750

Well I got stuck in and did a "poor mans" tail tidy.  Also fitted some new indicators to the rear (will do the fronts another day)

I got some stainless swingarm pivot covers from a bloke in the UK.  So much nicer than the plastic ones...

Here are some comparison pics:

Just realised.

When I bought this bike from Bov in November 2011 it had 67,000 kms on it.  It's now sitting at 103 plus change.
That's 36,000 odd kilometres I've put on it, in the five years I've had her.  And still loving it as much as the day I bought it.

The Red wheel look a lot better on then they did in the boot of the car. seems to have toned them down a tad.

Nice... but I m sure the weight of all that black paint is what makes it slower.   After all we all know that blue and white paint is lighter. ..... ahem... hat coat door..... :rofl2:

Never.......NEVER add up what you spend on your bike. It wasn't until I put mine back to standard to sell it that I realised quite how much I had spent on it over the years until I listed all the bits for selling.....

Dammit it's a hobby......I enjoyed it so what the heck.

But glad I never did the sums before!

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
